Membership

New members soon become friends

Any male golfer 55 years or older who is an amateur in good standing of a recognized golf or country club is eligible for membership. Candidates are sponsored by a member and seconded by another member.

Dues are $150 a year. Additionally, there is a one-time initiation fee of $225.

Membership benefits:

Enjoy great people - New members are welcomed at a special Newcomers Reception in their honor at the first tournament attended. There are no strangers in Southern Seniors, just friends you haven't met yet.

Tournament Committee will pair partners for team events

First-class hospitality and golf - Six events each year at a variety of locations and costs. Fields are limited to assure all members get to meet each other.

Exceptional rates - Special value at top quality clubs and resorts. All you need to do is show up and participate!

Tournaments - Formats include match and stroke play, team and individual. Divisions for Seniors and Grand Seniors age 70 and better. Each event offers one and two day competitions for ladies.

Social Activities - Morning get-togethers daily and group outings such as tours, shopping, luncheons, and other programs.  Cocktail parties each evening and group dinners.

Entry fees returned in prizes - In addition to trophies, we issue award certificates which may be redeemed for merchandise at most pro shops.

Candidates for membership complete the membership application  (click here for Word file) including the name of your primary sponsor and submit to the Southern Seniors office by mail or email. Applications must be accompanied by a recent photograph (print or digital) of the applicant and wife (if applicable). 

Each sponsoring member provides the secretary a written recommendation of the applicant.
